Letter from the President,Neither consumed by the past nor longing for the future we must keep our minds centered over our feet, right here in the present, lest we fall flat on our collective faces. How's that for a welcome address for 2007. Living the "integrated life" is where each of us must focus our attention, intention, and energy. Being present for one another and our neighbor is what we can do to effect "the shift". It is by sharing the integrative care programs like the "Ready 4 the Return" and the "Holistic Crisis Responder" with communities across this nation that we will impact the health of our nation.
Now is the time to take your health and the health of your family and community seriously. Stay strong, centered, hopeful and empowered. Together we can create a "wave of wellness" anchored in personal and social responsibility. These"resource facilitators" are providing stress management services to first responders, clergy, healthcare providers, FEMA and Red Cross workers, and OEP personnel. They utilize stress management skill sets that include guided imagery, touch therapies, meditative practices, focused breathing, aromatherapy, and more. The work is grounded in a ministry of presence with full recognition that peaceful presence alone can trigger the innate healing response. Click for more...
